The Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office serves the county as its chief law enforcement agency prosecuting all criminal cases ranging from traffic offenses to capital murder. Additionally, a civil unit within the office operates to forfeit property obtained through illegal drug activity among other tasks. The State’s Attorney heads a team of prosecutors, victim advocates, case managers, investigators and other administrative staff to seek justice in criminal cases that occur in this county.
The State’s Attorney’s Office is committed to building partnerships with law enforcement, legal, ethnic, cultural and religious groups to implement strategies to detect, arrest and prosecute criminals in the county. Further, by working with these groups we can also find ways to formulate preventative and educational programs to deter criminal activity. The office is committed to the ideals of justice and fairness and strives to provide courteous attention to the needs of the public we serve.
